BIL 713 Data Mining Course Project
In your course project, you are expected to develop a novel approach, or produce a novel analysis on a topic related to data mining.
Here is a list of topics which can serve as a theme for your analysis and algorithm development.
- Developing a recommendation system based on some algorithm, heuristic, etc. on some specific domain
- Data Mining on Tweets, mining trending topics,etc. and/or analysing them
- Opinion Mining on some topic (cinemas, books, news, etc)
- Mining large amounts of X (X: web image data, web link data, etc.)
- Finding groups of related people on social networks
- Extracting specific information from web documents, recommendation sites like Foursquare, etc.
- Time series analysis on X (X: documents, patient records, web logs,etc.)
- Anomaly detection on X (X: web logs, customer transactions, etc.)
